Free of inclusions and transparent, the tanzanite has an emerald cut that creates maximum brilliance when reflecting natural light. This is achieved by the gem’s natural characteristics, coupled with the cutter’s emphasis on creating a superb crown to pavilion ratio. The girdle is suitable for easy mounting, and the dimensions are 10.57 mm wide, 12.17 mm long and 5.83 mm deep. The symmetry is good and the polish can be improved. The final appraised grade is 8.5 out of 10.
